Privacy Policy

The short version: LarLine keeps the calls, texts and voicemails on your business number so you can see them. We use that data to run the service and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not show ads, and we do not track you around the web.

1. Who this covers

This policy covers larline.com, the LarLine app at app.larline.com, and the phone service itself. It is written by VLO Labs, Inc., which operates LarLine. Questions go to [email protected].

2. What we collect

Your account. Your name, your business name, your email address, your password (stored only as a hash we cannot reverse), the cell number LarLine forwards to, your preferred area code, and the business hours and after-hours message you set.

Traffic on your business number. This is the product, and it is most of what we hold:

Some of this is other people’s information — the phone numbers of people who call you and what they say in a text or voicemail. We hold it for you, and section 7 says how they can reach us.

Billing. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep Stripe’s reference to your subscription and whether it is paid.

Technical. Server logs with IP addresses and browser details, kept briefly for security and debugging; and a log of the events our carrier sends us, kept for 90 days so we can trace what happened to a call or text.

Visit counts. larline.com and the app use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser, and does not follow you to other sites. What we see is totals: which pages were viewed, the site that linked to us, the country, and the type of browser and device — never who you are.

What we do not collect. larline.com sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. The app stores your sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in; that is all.

3. How we use it

Voicemail transcripts are produced by a speech-to-text model running on our hosting provider’s infrastructure. Your audio is not used to train anything.

The assistant. On the Pro plan, LarLine reads the texts on your number, and your voicemail and call transcripts, to do two things for you: draft a reply you can send, and pull out what you have told a customer — an appointment, a callback, an invoice you said you would send — so it can remind you and warn you if you promise two people the same time. Three things about this matter more than the rest:

4. Who else sees it

We share data only with the companies we need to run LarLine, and only what each one needs:

We will also disclose data if the law requires it or to protect people from harm. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or give it to anyone else.

5. How long we keep it

6. Your choices and rights

Everything we hold about your number is visible in the app. You can change your account details there, and you can delete your account yourself in the app — Settings, at the bottom — which cancels your subscription, releases your number and removes your sign-in for good. You can also email us to get a copy of your data, correct something, or have what is left erased. We answer within 30 days.

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell personal information and never have. Residents of other places with privacy laws have the equivalent rights, and the same email address.

7. If you called or texted a LarLine number

Your phone number and what you said are stored for the business you contacted, the way they would be on any business phone. That business decides how to use them and how to respond. If you want something removed, ask the business, or email us at [email protected] and we will help.

If that business is on our Pro plan, what you send is also read by an automated model, to draft a reply for them and to note anything they promised you. It runs on our hosting provider’s systems, is not sent to an outside AI company, and is not used to train anything. A person still reads and sends every reply you get.

8. Security

Data travels encrypted between you, us and our providers. Passwords are stored hashed, access is by token, and only the people who need to reach a customer’s data can. No system is perfectly secure, and if something happens to your data we will tell you.

9. Children

LarLine is for businesses and for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think we have, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and we will email you before any change that matters takes effect.
